OFF THE SHELF FESTIVAL WORKSHOP (NEWS)

Our tutors, Mike & Jo, ran a very fun workshop in the studio with a large group of 5-11 year olds as part of city-wide literary event, Off The Shelf Festival of Words 2023. 

The workshop introduced character design methods and magic to the kids (and some keen parents) before challenging them to design their own comicbook superheroes. 

After establishing their character’s identity, name, superpowers, and favourite snacks; the kids drew them and made 3D versions with modelling clay. 

The final character designs were also re-drawn onto specially designed individual animation frame templates, which Mike then collected and turned into the collaborative superhero kick animation!
